Our Mentors

Ashaar

I am currently a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major with minors in General Business and Spanish

I hope to go to medical school and possibly pursue a gap year doing research

I am a mentor because I believe in the power of mentorship to support and uplift others. By sharing my experiences and knowledge, I hope to guide others, making a positive impact in their lives.

Rayna

I want to be a psychology or law professor after college, and complete research that will help communities.

I'm involved in this program because I am passionate about mentoring! I know that having someone outside of everyday life to plan goals with and talk to can be rewarding and comforting. I'm excited to meet you!

Sophia

I am currently an Art History and International Affairs major with minors in Anthropology, Transnational European Studies, and Human Rights. After university, I hope to pursue preservation law on the pre-law track or graduate school in art history with a focus on contemporary art.

I consider myself a passionate student, artist, and writer, but I owe my success to the guidance of my loved ones and community. I'm involved in the program because I'm aware of how difficult it can be to navigate life without them. I'd love to be a consistent resource for mentees, helping them explore whatever interests call to them: creatively, academically, or socially!

Nate

I'm earning majors in Math and Economics and a minor in Computer Science. After college, I want to enter the finance industry as a quantitative researcher.

I owe so much of my success to the guidance and genuine care I've received from role models who've invested in me. I'm a mentor because I believe in paying that forward. I want to empower mentees to build self-confidence, discover new strengths, and set ambitious social, educational, and personal goals!

Callie

I am an Ecology and Comparative Literature double major with plans to eventually pursue a Master of Public Health. I currently work at a botanical garden and run for my school’s Cross Country team.

My work with children has shown me how mentorship can be a rewarding growth process for both mentor and mentee. However, my work has also shown me how important it is to have a mentor who is willing to be patient and creatively overcome unprecedented obstacles. I want to help my mentees gain confidence that they are capable of achieving anything they put their minds to!
